Stuff You Give Us Directly

• Contact details - name, email, phone number. Can't call you back if we don't have your number, right?
• Project info - what you're looking to build, budget ranges, timeline. Helps us figure out if we're a good match.
• Communication records - emails, meeting notes, sketches you send over. We keep these so we don't forget what you told us three weeks ago.
• Property details - address, lot size, zoning info. Pretty crucial for architecture work.

Technical Stuff That Happens Automatically

• Website analytics - which pages you visit, how long you stay, what device you're on. Helps us know if our portfolio page is actually loading properly.
• IP addresses - for security mostly, and to keep spam bots from flooding our contact form.
• Browser type & settings - so the site doesn't look broken on your screen.

• Respond to your inquiries - seems obvious, but yeah, when you contact us about a project, we use your info to get back to you.
• Project development - creating proposals, scheduling site visits, coordinating with contractors and engineers.
• Legal stuff - contracts, permits, building code compliance. Architecture's heavily regulated in Canada.
• Improving our services - figuring out what types of projects people are interested in, what parts of our site need work.
• Occasional updates - if you've worked with us or expressed interest, we might send you news about completed projects or design trends. You can opt out anytime.

• Project partners - structural engineers, contractors, landscape architects. They need details to do their part of the work.
• Legal requirements - if the city asks for permit documentation or there's a court order, we've gotta comply.
• Service providers - our hosting company, email service, cloud storage. They're bound by their own privacy policies.
• Professional advisors - lawyers, accountants, insurance folks when necessary for business operations.

We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal info. Period. That's not our business model.

Essential cookies - make the site actually work. Without these, you can't submit forms or navigate properly.

Analytics cookies - tell us stuff like how many people visited, what they clicked on, where they bounced. We use Google Analytics for this.

Preference cookies - remember your choices so you don't have to keep selecting them.

• Correction - if something's wrong, let us know and we'll fix it.
• Deletion - want us to delete your data? We'll do it, unless we legally have to keep it (like for tax records or ongoing projects).
• Objection - don't want us using your info for something? Tell us. We'll stop unless there's a legal reason we can't.
• Portability - want your data in a format you can use elsewhere? We can do that.
• Withdraw consent - if you agreed to something and changed your mind, that's cool. Just let us know.

• Secure servers with regular backups
• Limited access - only team members who need it can see your data
• Regular software updates and security patches

But let's be real - nothing's 100% secure online. We do our best, but we can't guarantee absolute security. If there's ever a breach that affects your data, we'll let you know ASAP.

• Inquiry info - if you contacted us but didn't move forward, we keep it for about 2 years, then delete it.
• Active project data - kept for the project duration plus however long we're legally required (usually 7-10 years for architectural records in Ontario).
• Marketing communications - until you unsubscribe or we haven't heard from you in 3 years.
• Website analytics - aggregate data kept indefinitely, but it's anonymized so it doesn't identify individuals.
